Description: Lennox
7yr old Great Dane Mastiff mix.

Lennox is a very special boy looking for a very special and patient home. He originally came to us as a frightened giant puppy 6yrs ago, was adopted and recently returned. He is afraid of everything and anything. He does not do well with children at all and should not go to a home that plans to have children, or currently has children. In the past 6 years he has NOT gotten over this fear. He is a sweet boy once he gets comfortable with you and will cling to his person for safety. He is goofy, and playful still and LOVES other dogs. So much so that we would like him to go to a home with another dog to keep him company and help his confidence. He has a hard time with change so it will take him a while to adjust to his new environment. A home that is patient and willing to let this guy relax and feel safe. He will require a fully fenced yard as walks are difficult for him, until he is comfortable with the new settings.
Lennox will likely be fearful until the day he takes his last breath, and we need a family that is dedicated to him and his unusual needs. He may benefit from professional training, but we can't make any guarantees.
I know this is a big ask and we understand it will take a long time for us to find his perfect home. But we promise he is a sweet dog when you can get passed all his fears and his monsters. This boy has a lot of skeletons in his closet and really needs a family that isn't afraid or anxious about helping him. He needs someone that is strong and confident in handling him and showing him the light at the end of the tunnel.
Lennox has been vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested, neutered and treated with Advantage Multi.
He came to us originally 6yrs ago as an unclaimed stray petrified of life. Recently he was returned by his adopter as he was not adjusting to life with a 2 and 3 yr old.

The adoption fee is $350 and includes spay/neuter (dogs over 6 months), vaccines, heartworm test (dogs over 6 months), deworming, Flea and tick prevention and microchip. Please visit www.paws-united.com to fill out an application.
**For puppies under 6 months a $100 spay/neuter rebate will be given with proof of spay/neuter certificate signed by a vet, if they have not been done prior to adoption.**
**Please note we DO NOT adopt our dogs as outdoor/farm dogs. These dogs are coming to us as stray, roaming or dogs that have lived a life tied to a chain. Our goal is to bring them in the house off the chain and give them a pampered indoor dogs lifestyle. Unless otherwise stated we will not even consider a home that has intentions of leaving our dogs outdoors or tied to a chain**
