Description: Peanut
3yr old Shep/lab mix

Howdy folks!
I'm Peanut, and I'm 3 years old. My previous owners did a DNA profile for me, and I'm an American Eskimo/Border Collie/German Shepherd/Labrador Retriever mix!
I'm a PUDR alumni; when I was a puppy, I was adopted by an older couple who took me back to their apartment in downtown Toronto. Not too long ago, they had some medical problems, so I came back to PUDR.
Since then, I've discovered this thing called a backyard, so I get excited about being let outside to roam freely! I love going for walks or even runs, and I don't pull on my leash.
Plus, I have a foster brother now, and we play A LOT! I'm not a dominant guy. Plus, when my foster momma goes to work, I'm not alone.
When I go for car rides, I like to curl up in the backseat and snooze.
My foster momma has figured out I have a couple of fears:
*I'm afraid of older adults. I bark at them a lot, and I don't want to get close. But my foster momma figured out that if they ignore me entirely, I'll go to them when I'm ready, I just need extra time to trust them.
*And you can't put me in a crate, or shut me behind a baby gate or door. If you do, I will bark, escape from the crate (wire or plastic-I'm persistent!), and destroy things. You see, I feel better when I'm not contained, and I can see what's going on.
My ideal home has:
*Owner(s) in their 20s-30s
*No young children since I jump at my foster momma when she arrives home
*A furry companion, either cat or dog, so I'm not alone while you're away
*A detached house so I don't bother people when I bark
*A nice backyard or visits to the dog park since I love running freely!
Peanut has been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested and treated with Advantage Multi. He came to us as an owner return when his family had a change in lifestlye.

The adoption fee is $350 and includes spay/neuter (dogs over 6 months), vaccines, heartworm test (dogs over 6 months), deworming, Flea and tick prevention and microchip. Please visit www.paws-united.com to fill out an application.
**For puppies under 6 months a $100 spay/neuter rebate will be given with proof of spay/neuter certificate signed by a vet, if they have not been done prior to adoption.**
**Please note we DO NOT adopt our dogs as outdoor/farm dogs. These dogs are coming to us as stray, roaming or dogs that have lived a life tied to a chain. Our goal is to bring them in the house off the chain and give them a pampered indoor dogs lifestyle. Unless otherwise stated we will not even consider a home that has intentions of leaving our dogs outdoors or tied to a chain**
