Description: PADDINGTON aka PADDY
5 year old male Lab/Shepherd

Hi, I am Paddington but prefer to go by paddy. I am a big suck, I want to be by your side all day every day! If you are looking for a buddy to snuggle up with and watch movies together, I am your guy.
I do well with other dogs, but I prefer to be with my human friends. I would do best in a home without cats, as I met the resident cat and wanted to play with her, she didn’t appreciate that. I enjoy being in the crate, it’s my safe spot when I want some alone time.
My previous owner left me on the side of the road, unfortunately there isn’t any information on my history. The vet thinks I am around 4-6 years old and a Lab, Shepherd mix. I may have some separation anxiety from being abandoned, I do bark for a couple of minutes when you initially leave but I calm down quickly.
I still need to learn the ropes on becoming the best dog I can be. I don’t know my basic commands, but I have recently learned how to sit, and I am very food motivated. I am house trained, and I am respectful of my environment. I would benefit from going to a trainer to learn how to walk properly on a leash, as I can be reactive when I see other dogs. I love going on walks, usually one walk a day does the trick for me.
I hope my handsome brown eyes draw you in. I know if you give me a chance, I can be a loyal addition to your family.

Paddington is looking for an experienced adoptive home who is ready to continue his training and help him reach his full potential.
Paddy has been vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, neutered, and treated with Advantage. He came to us as an unclaimed stray from London Animal Care Centre.

The adoption fee is $350 and includes spay/neuter (dogs over 6 months), vaccines, heartworm test (dogs over 6 months), deworming, Flea and tick prevention and microchip. Please visit www.paws-united.com to fill out an application.
**For puppies under 6 months a $100 spay/neuter rebate will be given with proof of spay/neuter certificate signed by a vet, if they have not been done prior to adoption.**
**Please note we DO NOT adopt our dogs as outdoor/farm dogs. These dogs are coming to us as stray, roaming or dogs that have lived a life tied to a chain. Our goal is to bring them in the house off the chain and give them a pampered indoor dogs lifestyle. Unless otherwise stated we will not even consider a home that has intentions of leaving our dogs outdoors or tied to a chain**
